Empire Winstead (Winstead Ct.) whittler pattern with carbon steel blades, pearl scales and nickel bolsters and liners. While this company used this mark of a long period of time this stamp lacking serifs on the type suggests later 1920’s production. It still has a lot of the old style blade grinds like others from the 1920’s, which was a great period of time for knife making.
Blades have been sharpened very little and are mechanically excellent, scale opposite shield has a crack. Blades have a darker patina but essentially no active rust and could be cleaned by the new owner if necessary.
Unless otherwise noted vintage pocket knives will come unsharpened.
